2020 APRIL DEV LETTER: Dev Status of PUBG LITE

January 24th, 2020 marked our one-year anniversary since the launch of PUBG LITE Beta Test service in Thailand. As many of you voiced your strong interest in the game, we continued to expand to many regions almost every month throughout 2019. Our primary mission in creating PUBG LITE was to allow more people with various computer environments to access PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS (a.k.a PUBG). Our development team worked hard to bring our players the best qualities of the original game while also coming up with new systems and items exclusive to PUBG LITE.

Your feedback was essential to help us to improve the game during the Beta Test period. We tried our best to focus on your comments and implement them into the development of PUBG LITE. Even with the hardcore two-week update cycle trying to deliver new contents and fixing bugs, it’s been an exciting journey getting to know our players and their wants for the game. PUBG LITE was able to accomplish beyond what we had imagined all thanks to your love and support.

Our developers have worked tirelessly to get LITE up to speed getting us launched to over 100 countries with all the classic PUBG maps. As we have accomplished our primary mission mentioned above, we came to the difficult conclusion that Vikendi would be the final content update for PUBG LITE after careful consideration.

We are aware that there are many inquiries about the game however, our teams will focus on further discussing the future steps and direction of PUBG LITE. In the meantime, you will be able to continue to play the current version of PUBG LITE with in-game missions and events, community events and tournaments through Custom Matches.

Here are the events available now: APRIL EVENTS

Lastly, we sincerely hope that all of our players and supporters stay safe and healthy in the current COVID-19 pandemic.
