Nintendo have revealed how the Choose Your Legends: Round 5 winning heroes will look in Fire Emblem Heroes; including the surprisingly popular Gatekeeper.
As per the results of the Choose Your Legends: Round 5 poll, different versions of characters with special outfits will be available. The women include Marianne (Three Houses) and Eirika (The Sacred Stones), but the men’s division is of note.
In second place is Marth, protagonist of Shadow Dragon and New Mystery of the Emblem. The winner of the men’s division with over 72,000 votes (24,000 more than Marth, and 39,000 more than Marianne) is the Gatekeeper from Three Houses.
The Gatekeeper was only an NPC, talking about recent affairs even if there was “nothing to report.” Nonetheless the character was 15th among male characters in a Japanese popularity poll for that game; even beating out playable and major characters.
The Feh Channel update discusses these characters, and showcases their abilities. Eirika is wearing clothes and wielding a spear that would usually be expected of her brother, while Marth’s clothes are inspired by the first king of Altea, Anri.
Marianne is in a dancer’s garb, but can still pummel foes with dark magic. Gatekeeper only has minor alterations to his usual outfit, but is a green tome unit rather than a spear wielder. Using his Charging Horn, its debuffing effects change based on how many allies are around him. Foes will also struggle to move past him thanks to his abilities.
You can find the New Heroes trailer and Feh Channel rundown below.
To celebrate, starting August 17th, the Free Summon Event will give you one of the heroes for free. Another will be gained after summoning 40 times. This can be repeated four times; for 160 summons to gain all the heroes. Players can also gain four Celestial Stones.
August 17th also sees an increase in the number of times Dragonflowers can be used to improve certain Heroes. There is also a Heroic Boon Log-In bonus; players only need to log in once before September 1st to gain 120 of each kind of Dragonflower.
Fire Emblem Heroes is available on Android, and iOS.
