Yes, I am still making my way through New Pokemon Snap, and I am still finding brand new four-star pictures to take. Today I actually found four separate Photodex entries to add four-star pictures to, can you believe it? Well in this guide I'm actually going to cover three of them.
To get a four-star Lanturn pic, and open up another secret route in New Pokemon Snap, you'll need to complete the A Light In The Depths Request, and while you're at it you'll also be able to grab some four-star snaps of Frillish, both male and female variants.

Below we'll have all the instructions you need, including how to get into one of the final alternate routes in the game. There's a lot to find, so get ready and scroll down below.
How To Complete A Light In The Depths Four-Star Lanturn And Frillish Request In New Pokemon Snap
This Request takes place on Lental Seafloor during Undersea. For this particular Request, you will need to be on at least Research Level 3, just to ensure you have all the options available to you. Getting down to the point where you can even take the photo isn't available until at least Research Level 2.
First, as you begin the stage, you will need to take the alternate route which is available near the start of the stage. You will be able to enter this passage from Research Level 2 onwards, and we have a full guide on how to get inside the alternate route right here.
Once you dive into the depths you'll have a lot of Pokemon to go past, but eventually, you'll come to a long passage leading downwards. Here you'll spot Lumineon fighting with Sharpedo, among other things. As you go down you'll see a Lanturn, and you need to hit this Lanturn with an Illumina Orb. This will cause it to be chased by a Sharpedo, deep into the depths.
Shortly after this, a Wailord will emerge – don't speed past this Pokemon. On the other side is Lanturn, and as Wailord passes you'll see Lanturn has been taken hostage by two Frillish. They're further away than you might expect, and there will be several Pokemon swimming after Wailord, getting in the way of your view, but you need to free Lanturn by once again hitting it with an Illumina Orb. Make sure to compensate for distance and the angle.
Once you hit Lanturn, take pictures of all three Pokemon, Lanturn, and both Frillish. In this moment, each of these Pokemon is worth a separate four-star Photodex entry, meaning this might be the easiest points you can get in any single attempt.
Once you return to camp and hand in your four-star pictures to Professor Mirror, you will have completed the A Light In The Depths Request. There are no particular rewards for this Request, but it was a nice journey, right?
