Warriors of Light throughout Eorzea can rejoice in the knowledge that the Final Fantasy 15 crossover event, A Nocturne for Heroes, is finally coming back to Final Fantasy 14. The event originally debuted in April 2019, and fans have been clamouring for its return ever since, as it is the only way to get the highly coveted Regalia Type-G four-seater mount.
The event will run from Monday, September 13 at 1:00 am to Monday, October 18 at 7:59 am (PDT) and you must be at least level 50 and have completed the main scenario quest "The Ultimate Weapon" in order to take part.
The event will see your Warrior of Light teaming up with Final Fantasy 15's Noctis Lucis Caelum and battling Magitek enemies and the Messenger, Garuda. There are three quests to complete in total for this event, earning you different parts of the full Lucian Prince outfit set (Noctis's costume). You can also trade the boxes you obtain from the special event FATE for a whole range of Final Fantasy 15 Orchestrion Rolls while the event lasts.
Players who completed the event last time will still be able to replay it by using the Seasonal Event Replay Feature that has since been added to the game. Naturally, you won't be able to claim the event rewards more than once.
A Nocturne For Heroes has proven to be popular with players as, not only can you get a very sleek mount for bragging rights, but you can also snag yourself Modern Aesthetics – Lucian Locks (Noctis's hairstyle) and a Noctis Triple Triad Card. These items are not event rewards but will be available from the Ironworks Vendor in The Gold Saucer in exchange for MGP while the collaboration event is active. The Regalia mount is the priciest item and will set you back 200,000 MGP.
Don't forget, the Rising anniversary event is also currently underway in Final Fantasy 14 and is set to end on September 9, 2021, so be sure to complete it over the next few days to grab the Red Moon Parasol reward.
