Ace Attorney 20th Anniversary Website is Live, Features New Art by Yusuke Nakamura

On October 12, Capcom’s Ace Attorney series turned 20. Two whole decades of courtroom antics have come and gone, and Capcom is making sure to celebrate the occasion in style. A celebratory website is now live, which you can head to at this link. Among the various goodies and events to commemorate the anniversary are two art prints based the Ace Attorney series.

These prints are of drawings created by artists Yusuke Nakamura and Kazuya Nuri. Nakamura has contributed to album covers for bands like Gentouki and Asian Kung-Fu Generation, and is also a character designer (among many other projects that the artist participates in). Nakamura considers his style “modern Japonism,” which he perceives as nostalgic imagery executed with an eye to the future. Nuri, meanwhile, is a character designer for the Ace Attorney series—his beautiful work should look familiar to fans.

The drawings are, in a word, gorgeous. Getting a hold of these prints outside of Japan might prove to be difficult, but at least you can marvel at them here. As for Ace Attorney, the latest series entry The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is out now on Switch and a great way of getting into the celebratory spirit. Happy birthday, Ace Attorney!
