Adorable Eevee To Feature in August Community Day

One of the cutest Pokemon, Eevee, is set to headline next month's Community Day in Pokemon Go, which will look a little different. Instead of a "Community Day," it will be a full two days as announced on the official website. This will allow for trainers to get the most out of the event.

The event will run from August 13 through August 16, beginning at 10 am. It's basically a full weekend of Eevee catching goodness. If you haven't yet evolved your Eevee into Sylveon, don't worry. During the event, it will take fewer hearts to do so. Instead of 70, only seven will be needed. As usual, Eevees you catch during Community Day will know a special attack (Last Resort). Special Eevee stickers will also be available to obtain throughout August by spinning PokeStops, gifts from friends, or buying them in the item shop.

Another interesting addition specific to this event is that if you evolve Eevee into any of its evolutions, they will all learn special attacks. They are as follows: Vaporeon (Scald), Jolteon (Zap Cannon), Flareon (Superpower), Espeon (Shadow Ball), Umbreon (Psychic), Leafeon (Bullet Seed) Glaceon (Water Pulse), and Sylveon (Psyshock).

More new timed research will also pop up, and once completed, will net you a Mossy Lure Module and a Glacial Lure Module. A one-time purchase of a Community Day Box returns to the shop for 1,280 Pokecoins. Included inside are 50 Ultra Balls, five incense, one Elite Fast TM, and one Elite Charged TM.

Additionally, your chances of catching a Shiny Eevee increase during Community Day. You can also purchase another exclusive Special Research Story titled What You Choose To Be for $1 USD. Pokemon Go Fest just wrapped up and trainers caught over 1.5 billion Pokemon worldwide.

Pokemon is having a busy month, besides ongoing events in Pokemon Go, as Pokemon Unite just launched on Nintendo Switch. Could Pokemon Unite become the next big thing in esports? While Pokemon Go curbs back some of the pandemic perks, players are still keeping active on it. It did, after all, help us get through many lockdowns.
