Reddit user BookwormACNH used a plethora of Mario-related props to transform their island into the legendary Bowser's Castle. Animal Crossing: New Horizons added a bundle of Mario-themed items to Nook Shopping earlier this year so fans can fully turn their islands into the Mushroom Kingdom. The creation features many classic set pieces from the Mario franchise including Thwomps, the flagpoles. and even a pair of Fire Flowers at the castle's entrance. The user also took the chance to dress up their character for the occasion, donning Mario's iconic overalls and cap.

The addition of Mario-themed items into Animal Crossing: New Horizons was met with acclaim by fans for more reasons than just the creativity allowed by the iconic objects. Other fans discovered the Floating Blocks could be used within the game to create tunnels in New Horizons. Animal Crossing fans were clamoring for the addition of Mario items, which have been a staple of the life-simulation series, since the game's launch and many fans have taken advantage of their eventual introduction.

New Horizons has seen frequent updates with plenty of new content added since the game's release last March. Major features like swimming and dreaming have added new gameplay experiences, while fan-favorite characters like Redd have returned with Brewster rumored to be coming to the island soon. With Nintendo confirming there will be more updates to come during 2021, fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons should have plenty of things to do on their islands.
