Players of Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends seem to be having a blast with Season 6. Season 6 features several new changes and updates including the new Volt SMG, a new Legend named Rampart, and new areas to explore on the World’s Edge map. One player has enjoyed this season so much, they shared a clip utilizing several of the newly updated features, causing many players to draw comparisons to the Assassin’s Creed series.
Along with the new features added in Apex Legends‘ 6th Season, the game saw several buffs and nerfs for various Legends, causing the meta to shift. Recon Legends Bloodhound and Crypto both saw major buffs in the Season 6 update, putting them near the top of the pack in terms of Apex Legends‘ best characters.

On Twitter, the Apex Legends News account shared one user’s insane encounter using some smart climbing techniques. User Dxsrespectful, playing as Rampart, shows off their Assassin’s Creed like parkour skills to secretly scale the side of a building to get the drop on an enemy squad. Utilizing the new Volt SMG, they quickly dispatch of one enemy on the roof before heading after a Bangalore attempting to escape.
While the fence that Dxsrespectful stands on is the beginning of their ascent, they certainly didn’t need it. One of Rampart’s abilities is a deployable cover that players can use to not only protect themselves and allies but amp up their own firepower as well. However, players have quickly learned that they can climb on top of these walls to get some extra height and gain access to new areas.
In the impressive clip, players can also see Dxsrespectful expertly gain a rank in their EVO shield from dealing so much damage. As part of the Apex Legends Season 6 update, players were shocked to find that Respawn Entertainment had removed regular shields from the game in favor of the EVO shields. Respawn believes that by making these armor changes, it can bring down the overall time to kill in order to reward strategic play. It seems that this change is already benefiting players like Dxsrespectful and their out-of-the-box style thinking.
Although many are excited about the wealth of content brought with Season 6, others have been deterred by the many bugs that have been found recently. One of these glitches involves heirlooms, Apex Legends‘ character specific melee weapons. With this bug, it takes 14 hits with an heirloom to knockdown one of Rampart’s barriers, rather than 2 hits with no heirloom. Despite these bugs, it looks like players will continue to play Apex Legends and pull off crazy plays like Dxsrespectful.
Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with Switch and mobile versions in development.
