Apex Legends Season 7 Patch Reverts Weekly Challenges to Season 6 Format

Apex Legends Season 7

Ever since Apex Legends Season 7: Ascension released, which also marked the title’s debut on Steam, it’s been facing issues with its battle pass. The format was changed in the new season with weekly challenges having steeper requirements. This, among other issues, led to a heavier grind.

While Respawn Entertainment released updates to try and ease the progression, it’s finally taken to reverting to the previous format for weekly challenges. To compensate players, 10 free battle pass levels have been provided (which will be in addition to those already unlocked). Audio adjustments and other miscellaneous fixes have also been made.

Time will tell how the new system works out and whether the old format will continue heading into the next season. Apex Legends is currently available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC with its Nintendo Switch release being pushed to 2021. It’s also slated to arrive for mobiles at some point. Stay tuned for more details and updates in the meantime.

We've just pushed out a patch that addresses the following:

?Weekly Challenges have been adjusted back to Season 6 formating
?10 Battle Pass levels will be rewarded to all who log in
?Rampart's turret on Crypto's drone
?Audio adjustments
?Misc fixes
