Apple Arcade October 22nd Update Roundup: Castlevania, Sonic Racing, Slash Quest, Cricket Through the Ages and More

This week, NBA 2K22 Arcade Edition was the big new release and it actually arrived a few days ago instead of following the usual Thursday / Friday release pattern. Read more about it here. Barring that new release, Apple Arcade has had many big games including some surprising ones get major updates today. I say surprising, because some of these games haven’t been updated in a year.The first big update is Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls () from Konami that gets into the Halloween mood with new skins, a new mode, and login bonuses for a limited time. You can now collect special season order coins to unlock new weapons, items, or skins. This update also lets you skip event scenes, has balance adjustments, new actions for Richter Belmont, and more. The next big update is Noodlecake’s Slash Quest!. Slash Quest! Season 3 is now live with 10 new challenges, six new sporty outfits, and more. This is the first Slash Quest! update in a few months. If you haven’t tried it yet, Slash Quest! is worth checking out. Devolver Digital’s Cricket Through the Ages gets its first update in about a year bringing in the Ultra Cricket Mode letting you create hundreds of characters and game modes. This update also adds new music, unique game modes like Wicket Dash, Giants, Trophy Wrestling, and more. PikPok’s Agent Intercept gets a major update bringing two side missions including the Undercover, Under Fire mission where you take things on as Penny Black. The second part of this update is the Beneath the Surface mission. Another free update 5.0 is coming soon featuring two extra missions and brand new features. Red Games Co’s Solitaire Stories has been updated on a regular basis following its release on Apple Arcade. Today’s update adds a new option to adjust the story difficulty, two new stories, updated animations, a new lobby, and more. Gameloft’s SongPop Party celebrates Halloween with new spooky playlists to unlock a new character, visual changes for the season, and more. The final update of the week is also the most surprising one. SEGA’s Sonic Racing version 2.0.0 is out now adding in Classic Sonic, three new Green Hill Zone tracks, new music, daily character unlocks, improved controls, and more. Sonic Racing will now have new daily events as well. Watch the Slash Quest! trailer below:
