Assassin’s Creed Is Coming To Watch Dogs Legion This Month

Watch Dogs: Legion will be adding its Assassin's Creed character in the next title update, which will be arriving on August 24.

Ubisoft announced the news over on Twitter, sharing that the next title update, version 5.5, will be arriving at the end of August, and bringing with it Darcy, the final season pass character.

Darcy is a non-canon assassin from the modern-day that was created as fanservice. There have been numerous hints between Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed that the two series exist in the same universe, and this is the first time that hint has gone beyond a few easter eggs.

The next update for Watch Dogs: Legion will bring Darcy into the game, alongside some new story and world missions. It's interesting to note that Darcy seems to be the only character in the season pass who has received story missions alongside their introduction unless you count Bloodline for Aiden and Wrench. This will likely be more Assassin's Creed fanservice.

We haven't yet seen any footage of Darcy in action, although it's implied that she'll wield a hidden blade from the image announcing the title update. As of right now, Darcy is the final piece of post-launch content coming to Watch Dogs: Legion, with no more characters or content on the season pass.

Although by far the most exciting part of the new update is the introduction of Darcy and the Assassin's Creed content, there are several other things coming to the game on August 24. One of these is the previously-announced Resistance Mode, which changes gameplay up by allowing Albion soldiers to spot you when you're too close, making checkpoints go off when you go through them, and disabling the fast travel system.

Two new PvP modes are also being added to the game, Invasion and Extraction. Alongside all of that content is the full release of a new game mode, Legion of the Dead, which is a zombie-inspired survival experience that was previously available in Alpha.
