Assassin’s Creed Origins: 10 Best Outfits & How To Unlock Them

Assassin's Creed Origins was the franchise's first step into the realm of fully-formed RPGs, as opposed to the action/adventure games they had been up until that point. Assassin's Creed Origins was a much longer adventure and was still missing many of the hallmarks of the genre, but there was one thing that the series has never been short on. Lots of different clothes to wear!

The various Assassins have always been able to play dress-up in all sorts of thematically appropriate outfits, and Bayek is no exception with the beautifully created plains of Ancient Egypt to explore. There are plenty of purchasable outfits available on the in-game & UPlay storefronts, as well as a bunch that can only be obtained by completing in-game challenges.

10 Dress Of The Coastal Realm

This is an interesting dress, as it seems to be both for sailors and paying homage to them. The mixed blues & greens are nice, bright colors that bring impressions of the ocean, while the overall design of the outfit gives it the practicality that sailors would need.

There are two ways to obtain this item. The first is by buying it from a tailor, simple but pricey at 5000 Drachma, so some fast farming methods will be needed for this. Instead, this item can be bought with blood. Go to the Krokodilopolis Arena in Faiyum Oasis and fight until The Slaver is encountered. Beating them unlocks the outfit.

9 Bathhouse Outfit

The developers have never been afraid to inject a little humor into the very serious quests of heroes in the franchise, and this outfit is an example of that. Featuring naught but a bath towel around Bayek's waist and one draped over his head. It may make Bayek stand out in a crowd, but it's worth it for a glimpse at those chest muscles.

Unlocking this outfit requires completing a quest in the main story called "End of the Snake". Bayek is hunting the order member known as The Snake, and the search leads him to a bathhouse. Bayek enters as a patron, donning this outfit, and kills The Snake while he's there. After this, the outfit can be worn at any time.

8 Roman Manius

Despite being set in Egypt, the Romans (specifically, Julius Caesar) play a big role in the plot of Assassin's Creed Origins. Rome has had a big influence on many titles in the franchise and this influence extends to Bayek's wardrobe, with this outfit that takes the Legionary dress and makes it a lot fancier.

This outfit can be unlocked at the Cyrene Gladiator Arena in Kyrenaika. Players must challenge the arena in Elite Mode (which is unlocked by beating it on Normal Mode) and defeat The Duelist. Doing this on Normal Mode unlocks the Roman Legionary outfit, but Elite Mode unlocks the much fancier Roman Manius.

7 Altair, Ezio & Edward Outfits

Previous assassins from the franchise always get their iconic costumes in newer games at some point. Bayek himself has his outfit available in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. These outfits will be instantly recognizable to any fans of the older game and can be fun to run around within a new environment, it could even fit canonically, as the animus has already processed the adventures from previous games.

All of them are unlocked via the same method, which is using the Ubisoft Club rewards. Each one costs 40 credits. These credits are relatively easy to earn, which every Ubisoft game having ways to earn them. Players who have been fans of the franchise for a while will no doubt have plenty saved up.

6 Celestial Raiment

This is a rather bulky set of armor, but one that looks very pretty. This outfit traces its origins back to Chinese culture, as it was worn to battle by those who had a Mandate from Heaven. This usually meant a King, Emperor, or some kind of ruler.

Getting hold of this outfit involves going onto the game's Helix store, where many outfits that don't necessarily fit in the game's world live. This outfit is part of the "Eastern Dynasties Pack", which costs 1000 Helix Credits, which is about $10 worth.

5 Shadow Warrior

Many fans of Assassin's Creed have often found it odd that, despite being killers who are supposed to stick the shadows, they wear white. It's pretty, but it's hard to deny that it stands out somewhat. For those who want a much stealthier look, the Shadow Warrior outfit gives them the black attire they're searching for.

This outfit is another that requires a trip to the Helix store and a dip into the wallet. This outfit is part of the "Nightmare Pack", which will also give players the Abyssal Steed as a mount, and a few shadowy-looking weapons. It costs 1500 Helix Credits, which is roughly $15 worth.

4 Radiance Of Anubis

One of the most well-known aspects of Ancient Egyptian mythology is their Gods. There are almost too many to count, but they are all depicted as men with animal heads. Anubis is one of the more famous of these, as they saw kings through their journey to the afterlife.

There are a few different variants on Anubis attire in the game, but the Radiance is the prettiest. The Revenge of Anubis is good for those wanting a more fierce look. To obtain the Radiance, players need to complete the weekly community challenge four times.

3 Isu Armor

The Isu are the franchise's God-like race who lived on Earth. They created humans, initially as a slave race, but they grew out of those shackles before a great calamity wiped the Isu out. Remnants of their advanced technology still litter the earth, mostly in the form of Eden artefacts, but armor is available too.

Scattered around Egypt, there are Stone Circles that Byleth completes by aligning the stones with constellations. Completing all of these will unlock a door in an Isu vault that lies under the Great Pyramid of Giza. Inside is the Isu Armor.

2 Engai Na-nyokie

Purple has been considered throughout history to be among the most royal of colors. This is partly because of its elegant look, but it is also due to the rarity it held at this time in ancient history. Purple dye was one of the rarest substances humans had access to at the time, so it was quite literally worth its weight in gold.

This item can be found at some tailors around Egypt. It's not the most expensive item, but at 2000 Drachma, it may set players back a decent chunk of change. Unfortunately, there is no alternate way to unlock this outfit for free.

1 Mythical Warrior

One of the most impressive looking outfits in the game, it also takes the most effort to unlock. This outfit comes with an intimidating mask that covers the top half of Bayek's face. It gives him glowing eyes and threatening red stripes.

Unlocking this outfit requires a greater time investment than any other, as players have to complete the game two whole times. Once players beat the game the first time, the option for New Game Plus will appear. Beating the game in New Game Plus will unlock this formidable outfit.
