Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Director Eric Baptizat Directing Dead Space Remake

Eric Baptizat; an almost 16 year Ubisoft veteran and director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, will be the director of the Dead Space remake.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Baptizat is now a Game Director at Motive Studio- specifically for the Dead Space remake. Baptizat had previously worked at Ubisoft for 15 years and 10 months; where he was Game Director on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. His prior works have included being the Lead Game Designer for Assassin’s Creed Origins, Assassin’s Creed Unity, and Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.

In addition, Dino Ignacio- a former UX director on the original Dead Space– has announced that he has been consulting with the developers. You can find the currently confirmed list of developers and their prior works (via VGC) below.

In earlier news, Senior Producer Philippe Ducharme and Creative Director Roman Campos-Oriola confirmed that the Dead Space remake will not have microtransactions; along with other details about the development process.

The Dead Space remake coming soon to Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
