Resident Evil Outrage is Switch-Focused, Will Star Rebecca Chambers – Rumour

A recent Capcom leak has seen the Japanese publisher’s detailed plans for upcoming releases over the next fear years out in the wild, spilling the beans on a number of games that are yet to be announced. Several unannounced Resident Evil games have been leaked as a result. One of these, called Resident Evil Outrage in the leaks, was recently pegged as the third game in the Revelations sub-series by known Resident Evil insider and leaker Dusk Golem, who’s now revealed some more potential details on the game.

Taking to ResetEra, Dusk Golem reiterated that Outrage is Resident Evil Revelations 3, and even though the game might not be called that when it releases, that’s what it is “for all intents and purposes.” He also stated he’s received “100% confirmation” that the game is a Nintendo Switch-focused title- though it won’t be exclusive to the Switch, Nintendo’s hybrid seems to be the lead platform during development. Given that Capcom are using a heavily modified version of the RE Engine for the upcoming Switch exclusive Monster Hunter Rise, that doesn’t seem too farfetched.

In subsequent messages, Dusk Golem said that the game is going to be a survival horror game in the style of Resident Evil 7 and the Resident Evil 2 remake, and that even though it might have action elements, it will still be horror focused.

Interestingly enough, the insider also claims that Resident Evil 0 protagonist Rebecca Chambers is going to star in the Switch title. She was allegedly going to be involved in the upcoming Resident Evil Village, though those plans seem to have changed.

As is always the case with leaks of such nature, it’s best to take this with a grain of salt for now, even though Dusk Golem does have a solid and proven track record as far as Resident Evil leaks are concerned. A Switch-focused RE title has been long overdue though, so this would definitely be a very welcome release, if it does happen. We’ll keep you updated should we learn anything more about it, so stay tuned.
