Back 4 Blood: Accessibility Features Outlined By Turtle Rock Studios

Back 4 Blood Accessibility 2

Left 4 Dead spiritual successor Back 4 Blood is set to expand on the original series' accessibility with some newly revealed features.

As spotted by Can I Play That, developer Turtle Rock Studios unveiled a list of options that will be present in the open beta which is going forward from August 12 to August 16. This beta will be available to everybody but, if you pre-ordered the game, you can dive in earlier from August 5 to August 9. There was another beta at the end of last year. During it, Ben Bayliss pointed out that the game had full captioning not unlike Left 4 Dead's but it doesn't look like Turtle Rock Studios is stopping there as a slew of features have since been implemented.

The FAQ revealed the open beta features which are as follows:

For context, the "Game Coach" that you can reset is Back 4 Blood's tutorial system meaning that, if you ever need a refresher or want to go back over the fundamentals, you can.

The accessibility list also states that cross-platform play will be toggleable in the open beta. You can also decide whether to matchmake with those using voice chat or not while game audio can be lowered to ensure you can hear other players more easily.

Given that these features are being announced for the open beta in August, it is possible that more will be included in the final release – October 12, 2021.

Back 4 Blood's open beta will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S later this month.
