Back 4 Blood Trailer Shows off New Enemies and Open Beta Date

We Got a Biggun

This weekend, E3 and Summer Game Fest will be in full swing and competing for our attention. Don’t worry, this is why humans have two eyes; one for each showcase. Here is something you may want to focus both eyes on though. Turtle Rock Studios will be showcasing the new PvP gameplay for their upcoming title Back 4 Blood. That will be taking place on June 13th. In the meantime, you can feast your eyes on a brand new trailer for the game. We get a little bit of everything in this one. We got cinematics, we got gameplay, and we got dates.

Back 4 Blood Release Date

As a Left 4 Dead successor, you can bet that Back 4 Blood will have a bunch of similarities with the former. Hordes of zombies-I mean, Ridden-and special infected. Don’t expect the special infected to be carbon copies of the ones in Left 4 Dead though. Sure there will be tank-y ones, jumping ones, and probably ranged ones, but we got a glimpse of something brand new in this trailer. Though it takes place in a cinematic, it appears our survivors will be taking on a big one, like a really big one. Who knows if this is going to be a boss fight of sorts or what, but you and your friends will want to really work together on this one.

Speaking of working together, fans and friends of fans will be able to take part in Back 4 Blood’s open beta. If you pre-order the game, you will be given access to the beta (I don’t think that’s what “open beta” means though). That will begin on August 5th, before the game’s October release. Since Turtle Rock Studios will be showing off the PvP multiplayer, hopefully that will inform more of what to expect from the beta and the final product. Back 4 Blood will be coming out on October 12th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
