Electronic Arts have released the Exodus short film for the upcoming military multiplayer FPS game Battlefield 2042.

As previously reported, the game features massive 128 player battles, as the proxy wars between the US and Russia turn into outright conflict. Use near-future weapons, call upon specialists, customize your weapons mid-battle, and massive storms that turn the fights on their head.

While there is no campaign mode, a nine minute short film Exodus help explain the game’s setting. Taking place at the inciting incident of the war between the US and Russia, Battlefield 4′s Kimble “Irish” Graves must make tough choices between the lives of those fleeing conflicts, and the future of the Non-Patriated.

Battlefield 2042 launches October 22nd for Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store, Origin, and Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
