No Campaign, No Problem
Electronic Arts today has announced that it will release a short film named “Exodus” showcasing Battlefield 2042’s backstory. The short film will be released on YouTube on August 12th at 8 pm PT.
EA promises that the movie will showcase the series of events that will lead to a futuristic all-out war, and how it all will lead up to Battlefield 2042’s multiplayer games.
“Battlefield 2042 is a first-person shooter that marks the return to the iconic all-out warfare of the franchise. In a near-future world transformed by disorder, adapt and overcome dynamically-changing battlegrounds with the help of your squad and a cutting-edge arsenal” EA describes the game.
Battlefield 2042 was announced last June, promises support for 128 players that will put players on an “unprecedented” scale of vast battlegrounds. Also, it’s been recently announced that a brand new mode will be added to the game, “Portals” which will essentially let players access builder features and allow them to build their own game modes if you can think of it, you could probably make it happen.
The short movie is coming out on August 12th. Battlefield 2042 itself is coming out this Fall on October 22, 2021. It will be available on PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
