Everyone Is Thirsting Over Dead By Daylight’s New Killer, Pinhead

If you're a big fan of leather, chains, and nails being stuck in your face, then it sounds like you know how to have a fun Wednesday night. Also, you're going to love the next killer that's coming to the popular multiplayer horror fest, Dead By Daylight.

After a short teaser that had some fans thinking that Five Nights At Freddy's Freddy Fazbear was coming to the game – which surprisingly hasn't happened yet – it's been officially confirmed that the newest killer is going to be Pinhead from the gory Hellraiser film franchise. It's a solid choice for a killer and it has many Dead By Daylight players getting thirsty over the pointy-faced, leather-clad cenobite.

Pinhead is joining the roster and he seems to be bringing his usual bag of tricks along with him. For those unfamiliar with the cult horror icon, he's an interdimensional demon that's all about inflicting suffering upon the hapless folks who open the Lamentation Configuration, a puzzle box that summons Pinhead and his brethren. So you can expect to see plenty of chains, hooks, and references to pain and pleasure. He even utters the line, "you opened the box, and I came," which is a modified version of something he says in the Hellraiser movies. It also sounds kind of dirty.

This inclusion is rather timely considering that Rick & Morty – have you ever heard of that show? Apparently, it's pretty good – recently did an entire episode parodying the Hellraiser movies. Now with Pinhead being in Dead By Daylight, it seems like Hellraiser is the most relevant it's been in decades. That's pretty good timing considering that a Hellraiser remake is coming to Hulu sometime in the near future.

As you might suspect, fans are thirsting over the addition of a BDSM demon to their game. Right now, Pinhead is only available in Dead By Daylight's test server, but those who have fooled around with him have had some interesting reactions to how he plays.

Needless to say, there's going to be a lot of risqué comments coming from players and streamers when Pinhead comes to the game and starts flaying people alive sometime this September.
