There are quite a lot of side quests present in Neo: The World Ends With You. However, there is only a handful of them that offer rewards worth seeking out. Some of them feel essential, while others may feel like something to do to earn fast experience or a Pin.

The Prince's Predicament – Week 1, Day 4

One of the first side quests you will have access to in Neo: The World Ends With You is The Prince's Predicament, where the Wicked Twisters help rejog the memory of Eiji "The Prince" Oji with Fret's Remind Psych Trait to help him remember a soup recipe.

This side quest is straightforward but has a decent reward. It gives you a ¥1,000 Pin, (5) Friendship Points, and unlocks The Prince's Social Link, enabling the ability to automatically turn currency Pins into Yen without manually doing it at the store. To start the side quest, you can find Eiji in the Tipsy Tose Hall.

Fangirl In Crisis – Week 1, Day 5

Another early side quest in Neo: The World Ends With You that has a pretty decent reward is Fangirl In Crisis, which may even be more straightforward than the last one. This side quest requires you to head to Scramble Crossing and talk to Yuika Kaga, who is visually distressed. Using Rindo's Imprint ability, you can then put words into her mind to help calm her down. Choosing "Favorite" and "Cherish" will complete the mission.

Upon completing the side quest, you will get rewarded with a Rare Metal Pin, (5) Friendship Points, and Yuika's Social Link. Unlocking Yuika's Social Link will allow you to cash in all Duplicate Pins at stores with a single button press, rather than manually selecting each stack and selling them yourself.

Good Noise Hunting – Week 1, Day 5

One of the more essential early side quests in the game is Good Noise Hunting, which has the Wicked Twisters help Yusei Iseya out in Spain Hill. After learning that a Noise has taken over Yusei, you will use Nagi's Dive Psych Trait to enter his consciousness and will have to battle a wave of Noise. Successfully defeating the Noise will complete the mission and give you some pretty great rewards.

While the payout isn't exceptionally high, the perk you receive for helping Yusei out is beyond helpful. In total, you will receive a ¥1,000 Pin, (1) Friendship Point, and access to his Social Link, which is excellent as it allows you to jump over specific walls and fences around the city.

Identity Crisis – Week 2, Day 2

Identity Crisis is one of the more necessary side quests in Neo: The World Ends With You and should be considered more of a mandatory task than optional. To start the side quest, head to Tower Records Shibuya and talk to a boy named Eiru. Eiru is clearly troubled and worried about his identity. That's where you, the Wicked Twisters, come in. After talking to him, you will be able to use Rindo's Imprint ability to help comfort Eiru by putting thoughts into his consciousness. Selecting the words "Different" and "Utilize" will complete the side quest.

After helping Eiru out, you will get rewarded with (1) Adamantite, (5) Friendship Points and will gain access to Eiru's Social Link. Eiru's Social Perk is extraordinarily helpful, as it will expand your wallet size, allowing you to carry much more Yen than before, totaling to ¥ 999,999. Increasing your wallet size is essential for purchasing some Threads and other collectibles in the game.

Don't Worry, Be Happy – Week 2, Day 4

To start the Don't Worry, Be Happy side quest, head to Dogenzaka, and head to the curry shop on the main street. You will then see a man named "Buddy Rapids" arguing with the shop owner and storm out of the establishment. Follow Buddy outside and talk to him. Seeing that he is frustrated and flustered then prompts you to use Rindo's Imprint to put words into his consciousness, making him calm down and complete the quest. Choosing the words "Tasty" and "Curry" will end the mission successfully.

Completing Don't Worry, Be Happy will give you some excellent rewards, such as (1) Adamantite, (5) Friendship Points, and access to Buddy's Social Link. Buddy Rapid's Social Link will have Rare Noise show up more frequently, allowing you to earn rarer Pins and earn more experience.

It's All Greek To Sumio – Week 2, Day 4

In this side quest, you will help out a member of the Purehearts, one of the many rival teams in the game. To kickstart this quest, head to the West Exit Bus Terminal and look for Sumio Tanaka, who needs help replying to a text message from Motoi. After reading Motoi's texts, you will get asked to suggest a response. Choosing "Agree to everything" or "Use a quote" is acceptable and will complete the quest!

The rewards for completing this side quest and helping Sumio are (1) Orichalcum, (5) Friendship Points, and Sumio's Social Perk access. Sumio's Social Skill allows you to draw Noise into Rindo, bypassing the chore of kiting them around the district until you have enough for a complete chain.

Don't Stop Be-leafing – Week 2, Day 5

To begin this side quest, head to the Expressway Underpass and speak to Trader Ryoji, which you will then find out he is having issues with five potential customers. After the conversation ends, you will get the task of finding all five customers and will have to use Rindo's Imprint ability on them. All customers are located in the Expressway Underpass and are easily found by scanning the area. Furthermore, when using Imprint on them, you can select any of the options presented to you as they all work.

After using Imprint on the five customers, head back to Trader Ryoji to complete the side quest and accept your rewards. The rewards for helping out Ryoji are (2) Orichalcum, (5) Friendship Points, and the Social Skills for Taka the Handyman. Taka the Handyman's Social Network perk grants you an extra slot for Uber Pins.

Get By With A Little Help(er) – Week 2, Day 5

This side quest offers one of the best perks out of the bunch and is well worth the time and effort it takes to get to it. To start the mission, head to Scramble Crossing and look for a man that goes by the name "Seiji-of-Some-Trades," who will be in a flannel jacket with blonde hair. After talking to Seiji, you will gather information on what has him down, allowing you to use Fret's Remind to help him out. After putting the puzzle pieces together, remind Seiji of his memories to complete the quest!

Seiji-of-Some-Trades' Social Network Perk allows you to chain together more Noise, granting you much more experience and increasing the chances of obtaining rarer Pins.

Voice Of An Angel – Week 3, Day 2

Unlike the other side quests mentioned above, this one requires you to help out three characters and is a continuation – of sorts – to the "Identity Crisis" side quest. To begin this side quest, head to Tsutaya O-East and look for Eiru, The Prince, and Hide Takenouchi, standing together in a small group. After finding them, head over and talk to them to see what's troubling them, finding that they are confused and can't remember a specific detail that happened. Using Fret's Remind Psych Trait, you will get to put the pieces together and remind all of them, solving the mystery and completing the quest.

Upon rejogging everyone's memory, you will receive a pretty significant reward for your efforts, which are (2) Shadow Matter, (5) Friendship Points, and access to Hide Takenouchi's Social Network. Hide's Social Perk will allow you to upgrade your wallet's capacity even further than before, enabling you to hold up to ¥9,999,999.
