Getting busted and thrown into jail may spell game over for many BitLife players; after all, nobody wants to spend a hard day's night behind bars. But for players who have grown tired of sweeping the yard and getting beat up by other prisoners, there is the option to bust free. But jailbreaks are not a walk in the park.
There are endless roads for players to wander through in BitLife; from marrying into unbelievable wealth and royalty to owning a ranch, there is nothing the player can't achieve. With that said, those who take the wrong roads to commit extortion, crime, and theft as their source of financial income may find themselves in jail. Added in August 2019, being locked up has become the bane of many players who are forced to wait out their sentence, costing several in-game years depending on the felony.

But despite that, time is money, and the option to escape is available. Ranging from regular-security to maximum-security prisons, there are many types of jails in the choice-motivated life sim. The maximum-security jail is the toughest nut to crack and escape from. However, players only end up in a maximum-security prison if they have committed a severe crime like murder or operating a gang in BitLife.
Escaping jail in BitLife is essentially a classic game of Checkers, except for every move the player takes across the checkerboard, the opponent will make two more. But the security guard will not just take two moves in any direction; he will make those moves towards the player, starting horizontally first. The best tactic to use when escaping is to block the security guard in the maze walls; this way, the security guard's move set is restricted, allowing a brief window for escape.
Aiding BitLife mobile players, there will be 3 sided boxes in the jail that guards can be trapped in. This will grant players an easy escape towards the exit. But if the player is caught by the guard or turns themselves in while trying to escape, they will have a few more years are added to the overall sentence for 'attempted escape,' resetting all escape progress and making the wait until freedom much longer.
There is also the option to choose "Never mind, go back to my cell" before even starting the puzzle to completely avoid the possibility of getting caught. But, if the player manages to pass the jailbreak puzzle, they will now be on the run from law enforcement. It'll be best to gain an advantage on the law by stealing a car for some fast cash or a faster getaway.
BitLife is available on Android and iOS.
