Bloodborne Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa is leaving Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio

Recently Masaaki Yamagiwa tweeted, “I’m leaving Sony Interactive Entertainment at the end of this month. I’m going to continue working hard on creating games. Many thanks to everyone!” Masaaki Yamagiwa was the producer of Bloodborne, Deracine, and Tokyo Jungle. Masaaki Yamagiwa did not tell us about the company he is joining next. I really hope it is FromSoftware because his work with Hidetaka and Teruyuki Toriyama (but sadly he left Japan Studio earlier too) as a producer is amazing, and maybe we could even get Bloodborne 2 if that happens.
A Bloodborne Sequel might be close to happening because Sony has acquired 1.9 Percent of Ownership of Kadokawa recently. – The Japanese Giant that owns From Software Publishes Manga and Movies. Sony talked about the investment in their Financial earnings and said that they invested in the company for “global expansion power of animation and consumer games.”

The deal will help in the “creation, development, and acquisition” of new IPs along with allowing them to “maximize the value of the abundant IP that we already own.”

Regardless of which company he joins next, we wish Masaaki Yamagiwa good luck in the future. I am looking forward to whatever he will be working on next.
