Boyfriend Dungeon is a double-edged sword, offering the challenges of dungeon-crawling and those that come with trying to build healthy relationships. You play as a Wielder, someone who is able to wield a person’s weapon form to fight monsters.

You’ll meet up to seven different weapon-people throughout your adventure who all have different personalities and struggles of their own. Unless you can improve your relationship with them, they won’t trust you with their full power when you take them down into the dungeon. In order to bond with them and raise your Love Level, there are a number of things you can do.
Spending Time Together
The best way to get to know someone is simply to spend time with them. Outside of the dungeon, the weapon-people prefer to interact in their human forms. When in the dungeon, they’re almost always in their weapon form in order to guarantee safety. However, this doesn’t prevent them from speaking and commenting based on how things are going.
Just by slaying monsters and exploring the depths of these dungeons, you’ll start to develop a familiarity with each other. The nice thing is that no matter whether you leave the dungeon safely or get defeated, your Love Level will always go up based on how far you made it together.
Going On Dates
When not in the dungeon, you’ll spend a lot of time in your apartment. Here you can change your outfit, craft, and answer the numerous messages on your phone. While you can’t contact companions directly, they’ll send you invitations to go on dates, which you can accept.
Keep in mind that these invitations will only trigger if your current Love Level with the companion has been maxed out. After you accept the invitation, leave your apartment and go to the date spot to spend quality time together to raise your love to the next level.
Visiting Hangouts
Even though the dungeons are big, dark, and dangerous places, they’re not all bad. While exploring, you’ll come across Hangouts every now and then. These are safe areas that can range from ice cream stalls to bars.
By interacting with these places, you can spend some time with the weapon in human form to raise your Love Level. No matter how many times you may visit the same type of hangout, the dialogue options are always the same.
Giving Gifts
Sometimes it can be meaningful to express your affection in a material form. Gifts can be bought or crafted by finding the right recipes and materials. While interacting with your weapon companion on dates or at hangouts, you may get the opportunity to give them a gift.
Each one has different likes and dislikes so make sure you pay attention to their dialogue and appearance. If you give them the right gift, your Love Level will go up significantly but the wrong will be rejected.
The BBQ
One of the few in-game events you can attend outside of dates and missions is cousin Jesse’s BBQ. It’s a social event that gives you the opportunity to meet someone new, but more importantly, allows you to invite someone special. As the day progresses, you’ll get multiple opportunities to interact with your partner and a special moment that will raise your Love Level.
