Call of Duty: Warzone Devs Confirm Anti-Cheats Are Coming

Call of Duty: Warzone Devs Just Banned More Than 50,000 Accounts

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 is launching soon and Raven Software has confirmed that they will be implementing another ban wave as an attempt to make the CoD gaming experience enjoyable for everyone.

Call of Duty: Warzone, since its release, has constantly been under attack by hackers. Today, Raven Software came out with an official statement. “Today, we banned over 50,000 accounts in Warzone,” the post read. “More importantly, we are listening and hard at work behind the scenes.”

Despite the increase in banned accounts, the hacking problem has continued to persist as hackers continued to come in droves throughout a multitude of game modes. Call of Duty: Warzone fans have shared their opinions about this issue and have requested for an anti-cheat feature within the game.

The devs’ promise of revealing “more info” on the ban at the end of the tweet has pushed Call of Duty: Warzone fans to expect that they could soon be implementing anti-cheat features within the battle royale environment.

Originally, the Call of Duty: Warzone hackers chose to remain hidden. However, because of an apparent lack of punishment since the franchise’s first season, many of these hackers have decided to go public with their in-game atrocities. Some of them were even spotted openly streaming on Facebook Gaming and Twitch, and were deliberately making themselves visible within the game via their special skins.

The Call of Duty: Warzone hack was first seen in-game when the hackers created their own custom Operator skins. One player recently spotted another wearing the infamous skin in the Gulag. The cheater was seen wearing a red and white checkered patterned skin, and the non-cheating player barely had time to turn the corner before being killed with an active aimbot.

The increase in the number of Call of Duty: Warzone hacking reports has caused many players to leave the game and take extended breaks until Raven Software does something about it.
