Activision has confirmed that the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War reveal will be appearing in Warzone. Other than the date, August 26th, there is not much known about the reveal for the next game. Recently, a mysterious tweet appeared from the Call of Duty Twitter suggesting that a contract may be involved with the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War reveal.

The official reveals for the next Call of Duty game is stacked on top of months of speculation. Fan anticipation is growing to massive levels with ever teaser and leak only pushing excitement further. The new video hints that a full reveal will be happening in Warzone, and now fans have a time associated with it.

Based on the tweet fans are expecting the full reveal on Warzone to start at 10:30 A.M. PT on August 26th. To witness the reveals, players may need to grab a contract from the in-game menu, but the name of the contract remains hidden for the moment. Fans are expecting Warzone to reveal the upcoming game similar to how Fortnite presents new Seasons. Whether it is a video or massive in-game events, players will finally have full confirmation at what this year’s title looks like and operates as.

Aside from this Tweet nothing official has been confirmed. Fans are left guessing and predicting what each slight message could mean. One thing that fans do know is that in the context of Warzone contracts usually reward in-game cash and extra rewards. It could be that the reveal will drop as one of these glowing tablets, and maybe the players themselves will set off the grand event found within Warzone.

During the Easter Egg puzzle hunt for the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War trailer fans did find one unsolved puzzle. Inside a bunker, found on the very last day, was a fully functional nuclear warhead. This missile seemed to be set to launch lacking only the proper codes. At the time, players thought it might connect to the teaser reveal, but now it seems more likely that it could be involved in the full event.

Fans are trying to piece together possible storylines from the Cold War box art to reports of the game being a Black Ops 1 sequel. As time ticks closer to the full reveal fans are expecting answers alongside more puzzling Activision riddles.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is in development by Treyarch and Raven Software.
