Capcom Store is Shutting Down

Capcom has announced the Capcom store is shutting down on May 1st, 2021, and that orders can only be placed up to its closure date.

The original Capcom online store launched way back in 2008, only to be closed sometime afterwards. Capcom later re-launched their online store in 2019, and have offered their games directly alongside merchandise for their games and franchises, ranging from tshirts to collector’s editions for their big releases.

Here’s a message that now appears at the top of the Capcom store when you browse to it:

An important update from the Capcom Store team: The Capcom Store (store.capcom.com) is closing, and the last day to place an order is 5/1/21. Supplies are limited, so place your order soon. On behalf of everyone at Capcom, we want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the store!

Over the years the Capcom store has offered the company’s biggest titles for pre-order and post-release, including Mega Man 11, Resident Evil 7, Monster Hunter: World, and more. Fans could have even signed up for an official Capcom store account to get points they could redeem later.

The membership would reportedly let users earn points via purchasing goods on the Capcom store, which they could then in turn use towards getting exclusive merchandise ranging from art booklets to figurines, and more.

While the Capcom store is shutting down once again, supplies are reportedly limited – so make sure to place orders soon. It won’t be surprising to see the remaining stock selling through and Capcom won’t restock things as they’re looking to close up shop, literally.
