Cars Are Still Flying All Over The Place Following Latest Cyberpunk 2077 Patch

Cyberpunk 2077's 1.3 patch arrived just yesterday and it brought with it that brand new free DLC that was announced just the day before. This included a new look for Johnny Silverhand, two new jackets for V to wear, and the Archer Quartz Bandit, a brand new vehicle to pick up on your journey through Night City.

And as with previous Cyberpunk patches, it included a whole bunch of performance and bug fixes across every system and platform. Unfortunately, there are just so many bizarre bugs in Cyberpunk 2077 that it's still just a drop in the bucket.

Case in point, several posts have appeared on the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit showcasing just how wildly out of control cars can be–or more accurately, still are. Cars have always been a sore spot for Cyberpunk and that hasn't changed since update 1.3.

First on the docket comes courtesy of user Distrik64 who experienced this fender bender "literally the first minute with patch 1.3." Not only did they somehow go from the middle of the desert to downtown Night City, but they spawned underground so that exiting the car resulted in an infinite drop into the abyss.

Next, we have rhazona who is "glad to be back" thanks to update 1.3, although it sure seems like they should be exactly the opposite. A minor bike mishap that should have left them in traction just caused V's model to act like it was in mortal peril for way longer than appropriate.

But we've saved the best for last. NoodleZeep's encounter with an old sedan somehow catapulted them hundreds of feet into the air before making a splashdown in Night City center. Note the bizarre rain textures that keep cycling between high and low-rez and also the complete lack of a splash animation from the water.

Honestly, CD Projekt Red can fix everything else about Cyberpunk 2077 and deliver on the promises they’ve been making since 2018, but please, leave the janky vehicular stuff. It’s just too much fun.
