Sonic the Hedgehog is 30. It’s quite a momentous anniversary for the Blue Blur, one that SEGA is making sure is reflective of the character’s esteemed place in the history of video games. It might be hard for some to recall, but back in the day Sonic gave Nintendo and Super Mario a run for their money by providing some of the most entertaining games of the ’90s. But hey, you’re all here for the music, not a history lesson, so it is without further preamble that we let the Sonic 30th Anniversary Symphony wash over you and whisk you away to Green Hill Zone and beyond…
