Control and multiple entries from the Yakuza series are at some of their best ever prices in the latest PSN Store sale.
Leading the way in all of the Mid-Year Deals is Remedy’s supernatural thriller. It’s been given one of the biggest price cuts I’ve seen so far, bringing it down to just £15.99. Definitely snap it up at that price if you’ve been considering it as, at least for me, Control was one of the most fascinating games I’ve played in a long time.
If you’ve already completed the game and want more, the Control Season Pass has also been given a 40 per cent discount. The first expansion, The Foundation, released back in March, adding a vast and somewhat intriguing underground environment to explore. The second, AWE, is expected to launch sometime later this year and will most likely build upon the game’s connections to Alan Wake.
Elsewhere, multiple entries in the brilliant and barmy Yakuza series are also at some of their lowest ever prices on the PSN Store. You can start right back at the beginning of the story with Yakuka Zero for £7.99.

For something further on in the Kazuma Kiryu saga, the remastered versions of Yakuza 3 to 5 are all down to £14.39. These aren’t bad prices if you just want one of the games individually. However, Argos has the full Yakuza Remastered Collection for £31.99, which includes all three.
- Yakuza Zero for £7.99
- Yakuza 3 Remastered for £14.39
- Yakuza 4 Remastered for £14.39
- Yakuza 5 Remastered for £14.39
There are over 200 games on offer in total so do browse through the full Mid-Year sale to see if there’s anything else you’ve been after. Other standout deals I’ve come across include Diablo 3 Eternal Collection for £13.74, Hitman – Game of the Year Edition for £9.99 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition for £10.49.
