Modus Games have announced a delay in the release date of Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK’s time-bending RPG Cris Tales.

As stated in our previously reported, this JRPG-inspired indie game by Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK, stars Time Mage Crisbell. She has just awakened her powers and can see past, present, and future all at once. In her quest to stop the Time Empress, the players’ choices will determine if she makes a better future.

The game was originally slate to launch November 17th. However, it will now launch in early 2021 for Windows PC (via GOG, and Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. In case you missed it, you can find our preview here.

On the Modus Games website, Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK CEO Carlos Rocha Silva explains that the delay was due to the combination of the studio’s small size, how every area and character needs to be created three times (essentially developing three different video games at the same time”), and a strong desire to “get it right.”

After the demo release on consoles, Silva explains how the team want to incorporate the feedback they got. “We want Crisbell’s adventure to be narrated in the best possible way, so we hope you take this extra time as the time we need to polish the experience we’re sure you will all love and cherish.”

Along with Modus Games announcing on Twitter that there will be a poster in every retail box of the game, the developers will host a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) on October 16th, 12 p.m. PT (7 p.m. GMT).
