Paradox Interactive’s Crusader Kings 3, the long-awaited sequel to the 2012 grand strategy hit, is now available for PC. Much like its predecessor, players will venture through the Middle Ages, expanding their own kingdom while attempting to unite or sabotage their rivals. Check out the launch trailer below which highlights some of the methods to employ.
The campaign starts with the player choosing a house. There are five different lifestyles to choose along with character traits that will influence one’s actions. You can sire heirs, bring on knights and men-at-arms to bolster your military strength, and even take on mercenaries.
Plenty of intrigue will be going on behind the scenes with the ability to assassinate other characters or ransom prisoners for riches. Though a grand strategy game, Crusader Kings 3 is all about role-playing and living out your ideal – or deranged – medieval fantasy.
