Crysis Remastered Trilogy Bundles Series Together For Enhanced Experience This October

Crytek has announced that Crysis Remastered Trilogy will launch on October 15. If you already own the original Crysis Remastered, you can purchase the updated versions for Crysis 2 and 3 separately.

The last time we’ve heard of the updated Crysis Trilogy, the devs said the bundle will be arriving this Fall, and finally, the team unveiled the exact launch date. Crafted in partnership with Saber Interactive for modern hardware, the new package will deliver an enhanced experience for both newcomers to the classic franchise or players wishing to relive the adventure.

The remastered trio of titles will feature up to 4K resolution and 60 fps on next-gen platforms, unlocked frame rate and ray tracing on PC, improved lighting, shadows, and reflections, high-definition textures for crystal clear image, as well as visually enhanced models and environments. The developers shared a new trailer for the package, featuring updated looks for all three games:

On social media, Crytek confirmed that Remastered Trilogy will only include single-player campaigns, and won’t feature multiplayer modes, as many expected. In addition, if you are interested in buying the remastered games for next-gen platforms, you’ll be able to play them via backward compatibility. Despite the package wouldn’t have native PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, the games “will perform better and have enhanced graphics” in comparison to PS4 and Xbox One, according to dev.

Digital Foundry earlier shared a glimpse of Crysis 2 Remastered running on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. As opposed to the original Crysis Remaster based on the Xbox 360 and PS3 ports, the upcoming installments are built from the PC versions. Therefore, the creators promised to ensure an authentic experience and top-notch visuals.

Crysis Remastered Trilogy will be available both as a bundle or separate releases for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store. Players on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will get a physical Trilogy bundle, with Nintendo Switch getting Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered as separate retail versions later.

In addition to the Crysis games reissues, Crytek also continues working on its immersive shooter Hunt: Showdown, originally launched in 2019. The game has recently received a new highly detailed map called Desalle, which has vastly expanded the game world.
