Crystar for Nintendo Switch Gets Western Release Date & Story Trailer

Today NIS America announced the western release date of the Nintendo Switch port of FuRyu’s JRPG Crystar.

The game will launch in North America and Europe on March 29, 2022. This is just a month after the Japanese release on February 23.

You can check it out below.

Here’s how the developer describes Crystar, which is already available for PS4 and PC, originally published by Spike Chunsoft. You can also take a look at a couple of character trailers.

“I’m sorry Mirai, I’m going to take responsibility for killing you…I will bring you Revival.”

Rei and Mirai are sisters suddenly dragged into a mysterious world known as Purgatory. Rei discovers a hidden power allowing her to fight against the otherworldly monsters, but loses control and accidentally kills her sister Mirai. Crystar tells the story of Rei’s journey to atone and battle to bring Mirai back to life. This action RPG showcases its unique narrative through the use of four playable characters, each with their own special Guardian, as well as the use of the Tear Gauge and Torments.

It is with tears shed that you will revive the dead.”
