As the wait continues for CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077, the developer continues to release concept art for the various environments. The highs and lows of Heywood with its modern architecture and gang violence were showcased recently. However, this latest batch of art from the game’s official Twitter is all about the Badlands.
Located outside Night City, the Badlands consist of extensive plains that are nearly barren of vegetation and life. “Unchecked resource extraction, burning oil fields, rampant pollution; this district makes Night City feel like a rich oasis,” says the tweet. However, there are also “golden opportunities for those in the know.” Those who choose the Nomad Life Path will begin their journey in the Bad Lands and eventually make their way to Night City.
For gameplay set in the Badlands, complete with different Nomad choices, head here. Other Life Paths include Corporate and Street Kid, with each having their own set-up, quests and effect on the world. Depending on your Life Path and choices, the story will change significantly. You can even complete the game without finishing the main quest depending on the choices made.
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently slated to release on November 19th for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will launch later for Google Stadia, Xbox Series X and PS5, though the current-gen versions will be forward-compatible on next-gen consoles at launch. Stay tuned for more details especially with another Night City Wire planned.
Sparsely populated by Nomads, the Badlands are the vast plains outside of the city proper. Unchecked resource extraction, burning oil fields, rampant pollution; this district makes Night City feel like a rich oasis. But it holds golden opportunities for those in the know. pic.twitter.com/4hGJ9SQVjq
