Death Stranding: Director's Cut will be getting an extended gameplay trailer during Gamescom Opening Night Live later this week which will likely show off some of the new additions coming to the game. The news was confirmed by Geoff Keighley, host of Opening Night Live, on his official Twitter account on Monday.

There's no telling how long the trailer will be, but those interested should definitely tune into Gamescom Opening Night Live which will air this Wednesday at 11a PT / 2p ET / 7p BST / 8p CEST
It's not clear what new features may appear in this gameplay video, we already know of a few new additions thanks to the game's pre-order trailer which was uploaded to YouTube at the beginning of last month. There's the possibility we could see the new Cargo Catapult, Support Skeleton, or Buddy Bot in action, or maybe a deeper explanation of the "Fragile Circuit" racing mode.
Death Stranding: Director's Cut will also include new weapons, advanced combat mechanics, additional story missions, new battles, a firing range, and possibly more features that haven't been revealed just yet.
Death Stranding: Director's Cut is currently available to pre-order now and will launch on September 24 exclusively on PS5. The base game is already available on both PS4 and PC and those who already own the game on PS4 will be able to upgrade to the Director's Cut version of the game on PS5 for just $10.
As for what else is likely to appear at Gamescom Opening Night Live, announcements have been made all week by partnering developers. It's been confirmed that indie titles Sifu and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge will be shown, as will the highly anticipated Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
We'll also get to see the announcement of a new Saints Row game, with a cryptic tweet from Geoff Keighley suggesting the series may be getting rebooted in order to lean further into the franchise's wackier side introduced in Saints Row 3.
