Destiny 2 Disables Some Exotics Due To Unintentional Advantages

You know that amazing feeling when you find an exotic and become an absolute powerhouse? Turns out that too much of that is a bad thing, for your opponents at least. With that in mind, Bungie has temporarily disabled two exotics, as they gave Guardians unintentional bonuses during the Crucible and Gambit modes.

Hunters’ favourite boogie shoes, the Radiant Dance Machines were taken off the multiplayer modes as they allowed you to dodge an unintended amount of times in a row. Another exotic, the Wormgod Caress Exotic Titan gauntlets have been removed from all single player and multiplayer modes as they allowed players to unintentionally do large amounts of damage with their throwing hammers.

Last week, Bungie revealed The Witch Queen, the sixth expansion for Destiny 2. The Hive is at it again as Savathun has somehow secured the Light to create Hive Guardians who can use the player’s own skills against them. Unfortunately the news was already leaked by the PlayStation Store in Australia via a listing for Deluxe Edition of The Witch Queen which includes the Throne World Exotic Ghost Shell, the Enigma Exotic Emote, a new emblem, and Destiny 2 Seasons 16 through 19. It also comes with a new Exotic SMG, its catalyst, an ornament, and an Exotic Sparrow.

Even though the expansion isn’t arriving for another six months, the Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Deluxe + Bungie 30th Anniversary Bundle managed to take top spot on the Steam best sellers list. It was followed by Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Naraka: Bladepoint, And Psychonauts 2.

With the new Expansion, Destiny 2 will also be changing up Void subclasses. Ability designer Sam Dunn explained that the aim was to remix the abilities by “adding new abilities and mechanics, ditching some old ones where it makes sense to do so, and spreading out existing ones to create enticing new combinations."

“A few examples of changes in the pipe: A reduction to how many one shot kill abilities are available in the crucible and shifting super energy regeneration so players are rewarded for participating in combat vs waiting for a timer.”
