Destiny 2 Season of the Lost Roadmap Planned for Later Date

Unlike most seasons, Bungie was able to keep most of the current Season of the Lost under wraps until it ultimately launched alongside the Witch Queen reveal stream. Following the expansion reveal, fans were given a look at Season 15 and how it serves as a prequel of sorts to the upcoming February content. The trailer revealed the return of Queen Mara Sov, seemingly working alongside of the Hive Queen Savathun, with the Dreaming City back in the spotlight.

While Bungie had been revealing various sandbox changes to the lead up of Season 15, one thing that the studio left out of the reveal was a roadmap. Seasonal content roadmaps had been a popular element to season reveals, giving fans a sneak peak at what they could expect over the next few months, with a few secrets built in. The calendar of upcoming content has been a standard now for the past couple of years, though the company has remained silent on why Season of the Lost was revealed without one.

As it turns out, the Season of the Lost roadmap for Destiny 2 is just a bit delayed after all. The news comes from community manager Dylan "dmg04" Gafner, responding to a thread in the game's subReddit. While no definitive information was given or even a date for the content calendar, dmg04 did confirm that the roadmap was coming and is planned for reveal in a future week. The calendar is actually is in progress likely due to the extended duration of this season.

The reveal comes in response to a player who took it upon themselves to create their own and share it on the Destiny 2 subReddit. While much of the fan made roadmap contains things already revealed or perhap[s best guesses, such as the Fesitval of the Lost Dinosaur armor, user tvberkel managed to add some funny commentary to the calendar such as getting mercied in Iron Banner, a common complaint in the community about Iron Banner PvP matches typically being lopsided.

In the meantime, the game has entered the second week of Season of the Lost, continuing to push forward the story arc through new challenges and weekly content. Players continue to discover new aspects to the season as well including one particular bug that turns the Brig mech enemies on Europa and the Devils Lair strike into a super sayan by launching a devastation stream of explosive missiles at a particular location. Needless to say, it was surprising and pretty hilarious for those who were able to experience it.

Destiny 2 is available right now for Google Stadia, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S.
