Destiny 2 Season Of The Splicer: All Week 10 Seasonal Challenges

Destiny 2 Solstice 2021 Armor Glows

Quick Links

The final set of Seasonal Challenges are now available in Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer. With the story arc seemingly wrapped up, players can direct their attention towards Seasonal Challenges, Solstice of Heroes, and pinnacle content until the next season begins. The final set of Seasonal Challenges are rather easy and shouldn't take much effort to complete.

Defeating enemies with abilities, using Grenade Launchers, and completing Gambit games with various subclasses are some of the objectives tied to this week's challenges. If you want the Large Pile of Bright Dust for completing most Seasonal Challenges, you'll need to finish a few of these. For those chasing Bright Dust or XP, let's go over how you can complete each challenge as quickly as possible.

Split Focus

Split Focus: Defeat combatants with melee, grenade, and Super abilities. Bonus progress for combatants defeated in Override or Expunge.

Rewards

There are three objectives tied to this challenge:

  1. Land 200 melee final blows.
  2. Land 200 grenade final blows.
  3. Defeat 100 opponents with your Super.

While Override does grant additional progress, you're competing against five other Guardians for kills in that playlist. Expunge is a viable option, specifically Expunge: Styx and its corrupted variant. Both of these missions will spawn infinite waves of enemies during the second phase of the final boss. If you don't like to wait for enemies to spawn, the Thrall room in the Shattered Throne dungeon is also an excellent farming spot. For Super kills, the Blind Well activity in the Dreaming City is your best option.

Threads Of Light

Threads of Light: Defeat combatants in Override while wearing Season of the Splicer armor, with bonus progress for each subsequent piece equipped. Additionally, deposit Data Motes in Override.

Rewards

You'll need to kill 1,000 enemies in Override and deposit 100 Data Motes for this challenge. For clarity, Data Motes are the items that all enemies drop during the first part of Override, not the Data Spikes you obtain from Champions.

While 1,000 kills might seem daunting, any Lightkin armor you're wearing speeds this up considerably. Armor that has been synthesized/transmogrified to take the appearance of a Lightkin armor piece will also speed up this challenge. As for obtaining that many kills, use Warmind Cells. They deal an absurd amount of damage and cover a wide area. If you've never experimented with Warmind Cells before, consult our Warmind Cell guide.

Explosive Calibration

Explosive Calibration: Calibrate explosive weapons—Grenade Launchers and Rocket Launchers. Bonus progress against Guardians.

Rewards

Land 100 final blows with Grenade and Rocket Launchers to finish this challenge. Guardians do grant additional progress, although you'll need either a damage buff or a direct impact against a target to one-shot them with a Grenade Launcher.

Obtaining these kills is easiest in the Thrall hallway in the Shattered Throne dungeon or the Shruo Chi encounter in the Last Wish raid. Since these weapons have great AoE damage, clearing a group of enemies shouldn't be too difficult. If you need weapon recommendations, Salvager's Salvo and Deathbringer are excellent options.

Elemental Gambit

Elemental Gambit: Complete Gambit matches with each elemental subclass.

Rewards

You'll need to complete two matches with each subclass type for this challenge. Stasis and Solar count as the same subclass for the purposes of this challenge, so those that don't own the Beyond Light expansion can still complete this challenge.

There aren't many tips for completing this challenge since it only requires game completions. One thing you can do if you dislike a particular subclass is to swap your subclass at the very end of a game. For example, if your need Arc subclass completions, you can play most of the Gambit match as a non-Arc subclass. When the game is about to end, swap to an Arc subclass. The game will think you played the whole match with an Arc subclass, giving you progress towards Arc completions. Keep this in mind if you can't stand playing certain subclass specs.
