Don't Starve Together transforms the popular survival game into a cooperative adventure, with few changes to the core experience.
However, one key difference is what happens when you die. In the original Don't Starve, death spells the end of your journey unless you have activated a touch stone or found a special item that revives you automatically upon death.

In Don't Starve Together, you turn into a ghost upon dying. You can float around the world, following other players and haunting items on the floor. However, it isn't immediately clear how to revive yourself (or a ghost friend). This guide will cover everything that you need to know to revive yourself and your friends in Don't Starve Together.
How To Revive In Don't Starve Together
When you die and become a ghost, you might feel a bit lost. You can't interact with anything (other than haunting objects, which usually doesn't do much).
However, if you come across a Touch Stone as a ghost, float over and haunt it. This will revive you, but you can only do this once.
Each player in your lobby gets to use the Touch Stone once, and that is all. If you die again, you'll have to go with one of the other options in this guide.
If you can't find a Touch Stone, you will need to find one of the following items:
- Life Giving Amulet
- Meat Effigy
- Telltale Heart

How To Make A Life Giving Amulet In Don't Starve Together
The Life Giving Amulet is an item that you can craft in Don't Starve Together. It requires the following ingredients:
- 1x Red Gem
- 2x Nightmare Fuel
- 3x Gold Nuggets
You must be at a Prestihatitator to make the Life Giving Amulet, so make this crafting station a priority when building a base.

To use the Life Giving Amulet, you need to haunt it on the floor whilst hovering around as a ghost. This could be an amulet that you have made, or one that a friend crafts after you die.
How To Make A Meat Effigy In Don't Starve Together
A Meat Effigy is another item that you can use to revive yourself in Don't Starve Together. You can craft it with the following items:
- 4x Beard Hairs
- 4x Boards
Like the Life Giving Amulet, you must use a Prestihatitator to craft the Meat Effigy.
The Meat Effigy won't revive you automatically upon death, so you'll need to become a ghost when you die still.
As a ghost, approach the Meat Effigy and interact with it to save yourself from a ghastly afterlife.
How To Make A Telltale Heart In Don't Starve Together
If you don't have any of the above items and you can't find a Touch Stone, you will have to resort to a Telltale Heart. These are a lot easier to make, but they must be used by a friend, rather than just haunting it on the ground.
To make a Telltale Heart, you need the following items:
- 1x Spider Gland
- 3x Cut Grass
Someone must make the heart and then interact with a ghost to revive a dead player. When you are resurrected, your max health will be reduced by 25%, so it is best to try the other options above first.
