Elex 2 Is Expected to Launch on March 1, 2022
Elex 2’s recently leaked trailer might have just revealed the game’s official release date. According to the leak, the game will be launching alongside of a multitude of Collector’s Edition goodies, including an original keychain and a premium character statue.
The Elex 2 leak points to a launch date of March 1, 2022, which is only shortly after February’s epic game brawl. It would seem that THQ Nordic has decided to release Elex 2’s Collector’s Edition trailer earlier than intended since it was quickly taken down from social media. Elex 2 fans, however, were quick to take a copy of the sneak peek and spread it all over the Internet.
Elex 2 will feature Jax attempting to unite the free people of Magalan against a new threat called the Skyanides. The sequel was actually first mentioned to the gaming public four years ago, which was a couple years before Piranha Bytes was acquired by THQ Nordic. The official announcement about the upcoming title was only made earlier this year. This information has led fans of the Elex franchise to believe that Elex 2 has been in development for four years.
A select few of streamers were able to get access to Elex 2 back in September and, according to those who have tried it, the game looks marginally better than the original title—at least when it comes to the production value of the cutscenes. Piranha Bytes has promised the Elex community that they will be getting “unprecedented freedom” as they explore Magalan, in addition to a “massively improved control system” equipped with “fluid close and ranged combat.”
The recent news about the leaked March 1, 2022 launch date for Elex 2 would be the first time that fans got an exact date for the game’s release. According to multiple reports, Elex 2 was originally slated to launch in late 2021 but was delayed because of COVID-19.
As indicated in the end of the footage, Elex 2 will be playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PS4, and PS5 consoles.
