Developer Piranha Bites has today announced that its upcoming sci-fi/fantasy RPG ELEX II is set for launch next spring, March 1, across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms.
The news comes by way of a Tweet from the developer:
ELEX II is coming March 1, 2022 to PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S|X and Xbox One.

For those not up to speed, Elex II is the sequel to 2017’s action-RPG, which was developed by the team behind the Gothic and Risen series, Piranha Bytes. Players will once again return to the post-apocalyptic Science Fantasy world of Magalan, which is distinguished by a unique aesthetic that combines sci-fi and fantasy styles.
The developer tees up its story with the following synopsis:
Several years after Jax defeated the Hybrid, a new threat arrives from the sky, unleashing the dangerous powers of dark Elex and endangering all life on the planet. In order to defend the peace on Magalan and the safety of his own family, Jax embarks on a mission to convince the factions to unite against the invaders, as well as a personal quest to find his son, Dex, who got separated from him …
In addition to the game’s standard edition, there’s also a Collector’s Edition, which features a bunch of physical goodies. A new trailer today offers an overview:
