Every New Game And Announcement From July’s PlayStation State Of Play

Today's Playstation State of Play offered up plenty of new titles to get excited about, as well as extended looks and details about games that have already been announced.

Here's a recap of everything that was shown off during PlayStation's July 2021 State of Play.

Moss: Book 2

Quill is back in Moss: Book 2 for PS VR. Moss 2 picks up right where the first game left off, taking players through the whimsical and dangerous world. The game is currently in development. No release date has been revealed yet.

Arcadeageddon

Arcadeageddon was announced during the stream, and is officially available right now via early access. The “ever-evolving cooperative multiplayer shooter” features a ton of different arenas (called biomes) and game modes for players to take part in as they try to save their beloved arcade from being destroyed. You can play Arcadeageddon Early Access right now on PS5 and PC via the Epic Games Store.

Tribes of Midgard

More post-launch details were shared for the 1-10 player co-op action survival RPG, Tribes of Midgard. Season one – called The Wolf Saga – will come with two main game modes: a session-based saga mode, and an endless survival mode. Seasonal updates will feature changing elements that will require you to react accordingly to survive as a lone wolf or with your group of up to ten other players, as well as seasonal saga quests and runes to customize your character’s abilities. Tribes of Midgard will launch on July 27, 2021 for PS5 and PS4.

F.I.S.T.

F.I.S.T., or Forged In Shadow Torch, is a 2.5D action-exploration platformer coming to PS4 and PS5 on September 7, 2021. Pre-orders are now available, coming with exclusive bonus content.

Hunter's Arena: Legends

Hunter's Arena: Legends is an upcoming battle royale that pits ancient demons and players against one another in an attempt to survive. Hunter's Arena will launch on PS4 and PS5 consoles via PS Plus as well as Steam on August 3, 2021. Cross-play will also be available at launch.

Sifu

Another look at Sifu shows off the hand-to-hand martial arts combat that awaits. Gameplay takes place in various neon/cyberpunk-styled settings such as clubs and dojos, with enough action to keep you busy on your path to revenge. Sifu was sadly delayed to early 2022 on PlayStation.

JETT: The Far Shore

More gameplay was shown off for JETT: The Far Shore, which has players traveling across a mythic ocean planet at top speeds in their spacecraft. With exploration and discovery being a defining theme of the game, you’ll be able to exit the ship and explore on foot as well. JETT: The Far Shore will launch later this year on PS4 and PS5.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles

Become the blade that destroys demons in the world of Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles – a game based on the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. You’ll face plenty of different demons in fast-paced fighting action coming to PS4 and PS5 on October 15.

Lost Judgment

Set within the world of the Yakuza series, we got a deeper look at Lost Judgment, including its story, combat, and even some of the mini-games that will be available in the follow up to the 2018 game. It will also be the “first Yakuza title to receive post-launch DLC in the form of a story expansion.” Lost Judgement will launch on September 24, 2021 for PS4 and PS5.

Death Stranding: Director’s Cut

More footage was shown off for the recently announced Death Stranding: Director’s Cut that is being remastered for PS5. New battles, advanced combat techniques, new delivery mechanics, and new story missions await when Death Stranding: Director’s Cut launches for PS5 on September 24. An upgrade from the PS4 version will be available for $10.

Deathloop

An extended look at Deathloop was shown off, specifically featuring the build-up to a showdown with Aleksis “The Wolf” Dorsey. Gadgets and abilities, such as time-rewinding powers and pulse jumping, will give you plenty of ways to approach a situation as you take on enemies and make your way through the dynamic levels. The immersive world looks incredible, but you’ll need to be sure to stay on your toes since you too will be a target. Deathloop will launch on September 14, 2021 for PS5 and PC.
