Rebellion have announced the release date of simulation strategy sequel, Evil Genius 2: World Domination.
As previously reported, the game tasks the player with James Bond villain-style world domination. Construct trap-filled lairs, hire henchmen, capture heroes, and bring your schemes to fruition to bring the world to it’s knees.
The announcement post on Steam confirms the game will have four campaigns with each of the four masterminds (“narcissist despot Max, heavy-muscle madman Ivan, manipulative ex-spymaster Emma or scientist zealot Zalika”), three island locations to build your lair, and modern base-building mechanics.
The new gameplay trailer also showcases the new rooms, henchmen, agents, and traps. The latter of which include the Sushi Chef and Venus Spy-Trap. Players can also send their minions and henchmen on missions around the world to influence those regions. Each scheme can net you useful items; such as new henchmen, the Doors to Fort Knox, or even a dodo.
Finally, the game boasts one more game mode not yet revealed, which promises to be shown in the coming weeks.
Evil Genius 2: World Domination launches March 30th for Windows PC via Steam. You can find the release date trailer below.
