This item can actually be found on a variety of monsters, but there's no in particular that will give you better odds than any other. To find out which monster that is and where you can find it, just take a look at our full guide down below.

How To Find Piercing Claw In Monster Hunter Rise

The Piercing Claw is a Monster Material that you can find by carving a variety of Small Monsters. This is Rarity Level 6 item, meaning you will only find it during High Rank quests, so if you're still working your way through Low Rank, you won't come across any of these during your adventures.

However, as long as you're getting stuck into High Rank, a Piercing Claw can be found, as long as you find the right monster to hunt, that is. Here's a complete list of the Small Monsters that drop Piercing Claw, in addition to how likely you are to get a Piercing Claw from carving it, courtesy of MHR wiki.

Monster Carve Chance
Rachnoid 15%
Ludroth 16%
Uroktor 18%
Jagras 15%
Izuchi 15%

As you can see, you're most likely to source Piercing Claw from Uroktor, which can be fairly tough to find. Luckily, we already have a guide to finding Uroktor, which you can read here. The brief summary, however, is that Uroktor are found in the Lava Caverns, and you should search the edges of chamber 13, chamber 14, and the area between those two. You should be able to find plenty of Uroktor here.

How To Boost Your Chances Of Getting Piercing Claw In Monster Hunter Rise

There are many ways to get extra Piercing Claw in MH Rise other than outright farming and carving, and one of those ways is to undertake a High Rank quest that involves one of the monsters listed above. You are much more likely to receive a Piercing Claw as a Quest Reward, however you will only get one or two as a Quest Reward per quest, meaning it's not efficient as a method of farming, just a nice way to get a bonus.

Another excellent way to net yourself some extras is with a Palico. As we outlined in our Bullfango Head farming guide, Palico can also get you extra materials during your quests, and if you have a Palico with the Pilfer ability, you'll find it can come away with extremely rare materials that you can't acquire any other way. If you go into a quest to slay Uroktor solo, for example, and then bring along two Palico with the Pilfer ability, you'll find yourself able to come away with more Piercing Claw than you otherwise may have – in addition to some extra items you might not expect.
