Although Fate/Grand Order players recently finished the Servant Summer Festival and are currently celebrating 11 million downloads in-game, the end of August brings the start of one more event. Beginning today, the Fate/Accel Zero Order Lap 2 Rerun can be played from August 31st until September 13th.
Fate/Accel Zero Order is a collaborative event with Fate/Zero, the prequel to Fate/Stay Night which set up many important plot points especially in the Heaven’s Feel route. A new disturbance has emerged in Fuyuki, but 10 years ago during the 4th Holy Grail War. With an original story featuring many returning characters and servants, the rerun has event elements all players should be accustomed to by now.

Once again, the way to unlock main quests and move the story forward is by completing various missions. The requirements for each mission are different, but many involve tasks like defeating certain enemies, doing enough quests at one node, or gathering a specific number of event currency. As usual, the rewards for finishing most missions include summon tickets and various ascension materials, but a few give four key items: Assassin’s Mask, Sea Fiend’s Appendage, Sorcery Ore Fragment, and Treasure Chalice which are used to unlock additional free quests. Note these key items can also be awarded from main quests or purchased in the shop.
In contrast to many other event shops, there are 7 currencies which must be farmed through quest drops. The list below indicates how many of each currency is needed to purchase everything.
- 3020 Seal of Saber
- 3020 Seal of Archer
- 3220 Seal of Lancer
- 2520 Seal of Rider
- 2920 Seal of Caster
- 2720 Seal of Assassin
- 2700 Seal of Berserker
While the grind initially seems comparable to the Summer 3 event, there are several bonuses which greatly increase the drops players will receive.
During the event, servants related to Fate/Zero or appearing in the story will grant a bonus to Seal drops of the class they are effective against. For example, certain Sabers give a +3 bonus to Seal of Lancer drops. Note there are a few exceptions to the class seal rule.
+3 Seal of Lancer: Altria Pendragon, Diarmuid Ua Duibhne (Saber), Gilles de Rais (Saber)
+3 Seal of Saber: Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh (Child)
+3 Seal of Archer: Diarmuid Ua Duibhne
+3 Seal of Caster: Iskandar, Alexander
+3 Seal of Assassin: Zhuge Liang (Lord El-Melloi II), Irisviel (Holy Grail), Gilles de Rais
+3 Seal of Rider: EMIYA (Assassin), Hassan of the Hundred Personas, Hassan of the Cursed Arm
+3 Seal of Berserker: Lancelot
+3 to all Seals: Anra Mainiiu
Additionally, several CEs provide either a flat boost to all Seal drops or give an event bonus effect to the equipped servant.
- His Rightful Place, +2 (+3 if MLB) to all Seal drops
- Before Awakening, +3 (+4 if MLB) to Seals the servant is effective against
- Volumen Hydrargyrum, +3 (+4 if MLB) to Seals the servant is effective against
- Innocent Maiden, +2 (+3 if MLB) to Seals the servant is effective against
- Self Geas Scroll, +1 (+2 if MLB) to Seals the servant is effective against
If any of the gacha CEs are used on an extra class servant, they will grant a bonus to at least 4 Seals.
Bonus to Seal of Saber, Archer, Lancer, and Berserker: Ruler, Moon Cancer, Foreigner
Bonus to Seal of Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker: Avenger, Alter Ego
Bonus to all Seals: Shielder (Mash Kyrielight)
Unless players start the event late, all the missions and event currency can be farmed with natural AP and little to no apples. To that end, most of the farming will be done in Rank A and Rank EX free quests that open up at each node with enough key items and completion of the main story respectively. Furthermore, every node has a chance to drop unique Fate/Grand Order ascension materials and the ‘His Rightful Place’ CE.
- Residential Area (Assassin enemies): Seal of Assassin, Void’s Dust, Tearstone of Blood
- New Fuyuki (Saber enemies): Seal of Saber, Void’s Dust, Eternal Gear
- Reservoir (Archer enemies): Seal of Archer, Void’s Dust, Heart of the Foreign God, Serpent Jewel
- Samurai Residence (Rider enemies): Seal of Rider, Void’s Dust, Phoenix Feather, Claw of Chaos,
- Tohsaka Residence (Berserker enemies): Seal of Berserker, Void’s Dust, Octuplet Crystals
- Homurahara Academy (Caster enemies): Seal of Caster, Forbidden Page, Spirit Root
- Einzbern Castle (Lancer enemies): Seal of Lancer, Void’s Dust, Homunculus Baby
Irisviel is a 4-star Caster servant given to players that finish the main story. As the event welfare, Irisviel is a textbook white mage with skills that increase her healing, grant self invincibility and higher NP generation, and a targeted heal for one ally. While Irisviel won’t be carrying a team as the main damage dealer, her AOE Art NP heals all front line allies and grant Guts so everyone can survive defense-piercing NPs or stray criticals. The ‘Crystal Ball’ item needed to ascend Irisviel drops from completing several EX quests for the first time. On the other hand, Irisviel’s extra copies needed to bring her to NP5 come from bonus quests that serve as an epilogue to the event. Note that as the Fate/Zero event rerun, this will be the last time players can obtain Irisviel who will come in handy for future challenge quests like those in this year’s upcoming Nerofest.
