Well, it’s December 26th AKA Boxing Day AKA the slowest gaming news day of the year. Everyone who works on games, or is a fan of games, is probably taking a few days of respite. That being said, if you were a lucky gamer who was gifted FIFA 23 for the holidays, here’s a little something to give your self a leg up on the competition.
If you thought yellow and red cards were the only kinds of cards in soccer, you’d be wrong, apparently. All hardcore football fans know that there is a subtle deckbuilding component to the game. That’s why Messi is the best; he has all the best cards.
There are two packs that players can buy for a limited time. The Winter Special Pack and the Winter Snowstorm Pack. Whatever the weather, these packs will contain items that can boost you early on in your FIFA 23 career. If this interests you, you only have until December 27th to purchase either of these packs.
The Winter Special Pack includes 105 Rare Gold Players, 5 of which are guaranteed to have a rating of 85 OVR or higher. You will also have a guaranteed FUT Hero with a OVR rating of 87 or higher. This pack costs either 500,000 Coins or 3,000 FIFA Points. Only one Winter Special Pack will be available per player.
The Winter Snowstorm is not as pricey, but does not yield quite as much as the Winter Special Pack. This one contains 12 Rare Gold Players plus 1 Base Icon player. It will run you 300,000 Coins or 2,500 FIFA Points.
Again, you only have until December 27th to pick these up. FIFA 23 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. If you are on the fence about this game, check out our review.
