Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered How To Get The Best Artifacts

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered keeps things simple in some regards. For example, there are only three stats in the game that players need to keep track of, that being Strength, Defense, and Magic, but behind this veil of simplicity is a complex system of advancement unlike any other title. Each of the four races in Crystal Chronicles start with a set value in these stats, but how they grow from there is up to the player.

Each player’s experience with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered is going to be different depending on how they prefer to enjoy games and their experience with the original title, but one thing stands out as important for all players to know. The artifact system is driven by bonus objectives, and getting the most out of this will make players’ time with the game much more enjoyable.

The basic idea of this is simple, players should attempt to do their bonus objective in each level as much as they can to maximize their rewards, but things get more complicated in Crystal Chronicles‘ online multiplayer as competition is mixed with cooperation.

At the start of every dungeon, each player will be given a separate bonus objective. These can be things such as take physical damage, defeat enemies with spell fusion, or even pick up gil, and the more a player does these things the higher their score at the end will be. Though the ultimate goal of Crystal Chronicles is cooperation, this feature adds an element of competition as well. The player with the highest points at the end gets to choose an artifact first, meaning they’ll likely get the best items.

Among the new items in Crystal Chronicles Remastered,  there are eight different artifacts to get at the end of every level, but they won’t all be available every time. Four of these artifacts must be found within the dungeon, usually in chests or as drops from powerful enemies. The other four only appear if the player and their party hit a certain total of bonus points. For this reason, it is also important to work with allies to help them score well on their bonus objectives while still trying to stay ahead of the pack.

Regarding what artifacts to choose, players should pick based on their play style. There are three main types of artifacts, stat boosts, command slots, and extra health. Usually the latter two are the most important, but upgrading stats can also lead to a much more powerful character in the long run. Even those playing the free version of Crystal Chronicles can get artifacts and upgrade their character, and these upgrades will carry over should they purchase the full version.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered is available now on Mobile, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
