As a player makes their way through Fortnite‘s Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass, they will unlock unique skins modeled after a variety of Marvel characters, such as Thor, Groot, and Storm. Additionally, each of these new skins has a set of associated Awakening Challenges that can be completed in order to obtain special built-in emotes in Fortnite. That is not the end of the story with the Season 4 cosmetics, though, as indeed there are three foil styles (Silver, Gold, and Holographic) that be unlocked for each one of these Marvel skins.
To put things simply, the foil styles for the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 skins are rewards for players that continue to advance through the levels of the Battle Pass after they have unlocked the final Iron Man outfit. This means that the Silver, Gold, and Holo foils only start becoming available beyond Level 100, and here is a full breakdown of exactly when each one is unlocked:

Certainly, players that are interested in unlocking all of these foil styles have quite a lot of work to do, and they will need to make sure to be efficient with their XP earning if they hope to finish before Season 4 comes to a close. Fans that have their sights set on the Holographic foils should at least plan on completing all of this season’s map challenges, including the Fortnite Season 4 Week 2 challenges that will go live this Thursday, and they will still need to grind out a ton of eliminations and matches.
To note, players can also boost their Battle Pass progress by collecting the seasonal XP Coins that are hidden across the map. At the time of writing, only the Fortnite Season 4 Week 1 XP Coins are available, and it is true that they are not worth a great deal. That said, many more Coins will be added to the game in the upcoming weeks, and the XP that fans can earn by collecting them all is certainly not insignificant.
Fortnite is available now on Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
