This week brings us the eighth batch of Alien Artifacts that's been added to the Fortnite map. If you haven't been playing this season or if you've lost count, this means that as of now a total of 40 Alien Artifacts have been scattered through the Battle Royale island. As usual, they are very well dispersed so they will have you exploring a big chunk of the map. These Artifacts work as a great incentive to land in different places that you normally wouldn't explore.

Each Purple Alien Artifact you collect has a total of four artifacts inside. Now that there are 40 weekly Purple Alien Artifacts, this amounts to a total of 160 Alien Artifacts that you can physically collect. That is still a long way to go if you want to collect all Kymera styles as soon as possible. To do this you will need 360 Alien Artifacts. However, each week you can get a maximum of 15 artifacts from opening Cosmic Chests with friends. If you want to know more about these special chests, here's our guide on them.
Alien Artifact #1
The first artifact this week is next to a location you most likely already visited for week seven's challenges. It is near the Yellow Steel Bridge landmark. This is the same place that you had to visit to encounter and defeat Riot for last week's mission. The Alien Artifact is under a wooden bridge south of the Yellow Steel Bridge landmark. It is below the pillar that holds up the bridge.
Alien Artifact #2
The next artifact isn't that far away from the first one. It's located in the Hydro 16 landmark, west of Misty Meadows and east of Slurpy Swamp. It is located near the ceiling of the building so landing on the roof and breaking it is your quickest way of getting it, but you can go inside and build up with a couple of ramps to get it.
Alien Artifact #3
This artifact is between three very popular locations, that's Holly Hatchery, Believer Beach, and Boney Burbs. Head to the purple patch marked on this map. The Alien Artifact is underneath the purple trees in that area.
Alien Artifact #4
Another artifact near a purple patch. This one can be found east of Pleasant Park and west of The Orchard landmark. There is a weirdly shaped rock-like structure in the purple patch, under its ledge is where you'll find the Alien Artifact.
Alien Artifact #5
If you've been keeping up with the weekly challenges, you'll be quite familiar with the Dockside Dish landmark by now. It's located west of Dirty Docks and it's also here that you can finish two other week eight challenges. You can come here to plant a wiretap and to interact with an IO operative's computer. The Alien Artifact is right underneath the helicopter landing zone at Dockside Dish.
