Upon reaching Level 46 on Fortnite‘s Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass, players will gain access to two Groot Awakening Challenges, the second of which asks fans to emote as Groot at a Friendship monument. While players should be quite familiar with Season 4’s emote-based challenges at this point, as they are likely to have already completed two of them, this one does require fans to visit a unique location in the Friendship monument, and this guide will detail exactly where to find it.

To get right to it, the location of the Friendship monument in Fortnite is directly to the northwest of Sweaty Sands. Specifically, players are looking for two large figures, one made from hay and the other made from pipes, engaged in a high five, and it is at this sculpture that fans can complete the final Groot Awakening Challenge. For those players that prefer a visual, the following map should make it quite easy to locate Fortnite‘s Friendship monument:

Once a player has located the Friendship monument, they should then equip the Groot skin in Fortnite and perform an emote of their choosing. If this is done correctly, fans will will receive immediate indication that they have completed the emote as Groot at a Friendship monument challenge, and they will receive the Battle Brother built-in emote, which will allow them to summon Rocket Raccoon as a pet, for their trouble.

After completing all of the Groot Awakening Challenges, many fans will set their sights on the next Marvel skin that they can unlock through Fortnite‘s Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass. That skin is one that is modeled after Storm, and indeed it has its own associated Awakening Challenges, which players will gain access to at Level 60. Quite appropriately, Storm’s challenges all focus around wind and weather, and fans will find themselves visiting a Weather Station, emoting in the center of the eye of the storm, and more before all is said and done.

From there, players can get busy unlocking the skins for Doctor Doom, Mystique, and Iron Man, all of which have their own unique Awakening Challenges. They can also investigate the mysterious claw marks in Fortnite, which will start the process for obtaining a special Wolverine skin and are found in Weeping Woods. At the time of writing, the Wolverine challenges that will follow this one are unknown, but fans can expect at least some of them to continue this focus on the iconic X-Men’s signature weapon.

Fortnite is available now on Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
